Supporting multicultural Burton against Fascist "Britain First"

Burton Unity Statement

Supporting multicultural Burton against Fascist “Britain First”

We are united in opposition to the Fascist “Britain First” march through Burton-on-Trent on Saturday October 17th.

“Britain First” are well known for targeting diverse communities in towns and cities up and down the country. Now they seek to intimidate here in Burton.   They say Burtonian Muslims cannot be allowed to make alterations or extend a Mosque.   This is despicable, and is nothing less than a direct attack upon our peaceful, British way of life.

The people of Burton are united in total opposition to this march. We value the family friendly, peaceful nature of Burton. We resent that extremists are seeking to destroy our peace on the afternoon of Saturday October 17th.

On the day, decent people will be joining together to make clear that these extremists are not welcome in our town. “Unite Against Fascism” and a number of other groups will be peacefully assembled in opposition to the “Britain First” march. We ask local people to join together on 17th October and help ensure that Fascists never again target our town.
